This is very artistic. It really shows what can be done with the mediums, when they are organized into a thoughtful composition. I felt that it had a very David Lynch feeling with a touch of Italian & French cinema. Beyond post modern. Nicely done. The narration and cinematic devices used along with the soundtrack make this something I will enjoy watching again
This experimental film (cine-poem) draws its inspiration from the philosophical thoughts and poetic words of Antonin Artaud. The film interprets visually and “poetically” the manuscript that Artaud originally prepared as an address to the public, written for the installation and reception of his portraits and drawings at the Galerie Pierre, July 4-20, 1947. The film works as a pastiche of mediums, including super-8 film along with high-8 and digital video.
